The façade of the Castillo de la Luz becomes a canvas for the videomapping show “Chirino, Art in Motion”

The Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation, as a contribution to the celebration of the La Naval Festival in La Isleta, offers the videomapping show “Chirino, Art in Motion” designed by the Piedra Muda LAB studio. This initiative is sponsored by Audi, which will present its new vehicle, the Audi RS e-tron GT.

The action will take place in several passes with free admission, between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., next Friday, October 14, on the northwest façade of the Castillo de la Luz, and will have an interactive part. "Chirino, el Arte en Movimiento" is an artistic proposal made by the video studio Piedra Muda LAB. Through the image, they evoke a static balance so present in the works of the great Canarian sculptor. An interactive video mapping that aims to study the symbiosis between concepts such as flow and immobility; oscillation and stillness; vibration and rest with the works of Martín Chirino. An aesthetic debate between the calm appearance of nature with the moving dynamism that permeates the artist's works. A pure relationship between the sculptor and his environment as a synergy of inspiration and abstraction.

Piedra Muda LAB is a studio specialized in contemporary video art design, which has been working with La Fura dels Baus and other great shows since 2012, from operas and installations to immersive concerts with 360º technology. The brand defines its work as a process of continuous experimentation and exploration. Based in Barcelona, ​​the company aims to create visual pieces out of the ordinary. The studio was born from the merger of Alberto De Gobbi and Marc Molinos. Piedra Muda LAB combines video design for performing arts, mappings, events and video installations. The elegant and forceful aesthetics, as well as the visual poetry, are the hallmarks of the studio.
