This is a small group of sculptures and drawings that, in the artist's words, "was the beginning" of his well-known sculptural work in forging. The exhibition has been made possible thanks to loans from museums and art centers, as well as private collections.

Furthermore, fulfilling the founding objective that Chirino emphasized for this Foundation, the exhibition contextualizes this work through the presence of other pieces, with a notable reference to Picasso and Klee, but also to the guiding role of his teachers Julio González and Ángel Ferrant. Pieces by Óscar Domínguez, Apel·les Fenosa, Plácido Fleitas, Eduardo Gregorio, Juan Ismael, Manolo Millares, and Eduardo Westerdahl, among others, are also on display, providing the context for the admirations mentioned by Chirino. In addition, the exhibition explores his encounters with a selection of primitive art sculptures, while also mentioning for the first time the sculptor's admiration for the unique film creations of Norman McLaren. A musical interlude, created in collaboration with Tomás Marco, Jon Bandrés and Joan Gómez Alemany, evokes Chirino's memories of the shipyards where his father worked in Las Palmas, "Blandy Brothers," while an extensive documentary section also contextualizes the publications that preceded and formed the basis of modernity in the Canary Islands, including others related to the artist at that time.
