The educational communities of schools located in rural areas do not have the same training opportunities as those of centers located in the capital or nearby. From a cultural and artistic point of view, the offer is scarce, and the distance from the capital or areas with a greater number of museums and art galleries makes it difficult to access this type of educational and cultural spaces that are at the service of society but which, unfortunately, are not always easily accessible. Aware of this training shortage, so necessary for the comprehensive education of students, volunteer teachers from different educational centers raise the possibility of bringing the artistic fact and the aesthetic experience closer to their educational communities. Under the name En Red: “A different look”, a project is being created whose intention is to respond to the cultural needs that the students of this rural environment demand.

Thus begins a network of communication, of exchange of plastic and visual experiences, its intentions being the creation of spaces for encounter with the artistic fact and the enrichment of the actions and resources generated. The aesthetic experience provides a different perspective of seeing reality from another perspective than just the instrumental one and favors creativity, sensitivity, imagination and the capacity for aesthetic enjoyment through the knowledge and practice of the arts in the school environment and extracurricular. In short, En Red: “A different look” offers aesthetic experiences to educational centers in order to be nourished by their ethical and pedagogical value, becoming spaces of action to transform the world with another look.

This project, active since 2020, has selected Martín Chirino, his work and thoughts, as a creative engine and inspiration, and finds its place this year in the sculptor's Foundation, along with a selection of works from his Department of Education and Cultural Action.
