Guided tours of the Director: Tribute to Music

The exhibition MARTÍN CHIRINO: TRIBUTE TO MUSIC. Sonority of matter at the Martín Chirino Foundation, which brings together, for the first time, the cycle known as “Homage to Music”, a small set of sculptures made in the early nineties in an exhibition curated by David Cortés and Jesús M . Chestnut. The series was conceived in the early 1990s by Martín Chirino (Las Palmas, 1925-Madrid, 2019). It is a small set of sculptures, drawings and medals with which the sculptor Chirino evoked with special intensity two facets that have always interested him: that of being passionate about this unique art and also his obsession with drawing and sculpture, since each one of his works have been preceded by countless sketches that, in many cases, are accomplished drawings, emphasizing the vital importance he gave to this dialogue of the arts.

Jesús Castaño, director of the Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation, and co-curator of this exhibition, will give free guided tours on the following days:

The visit will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will last 40 minutes. It is necessary to book in advance.
