Throughout July, the Martín Chirino Foundation invites you to experience the museum from a playful and participatory perspective, through activities designed to spark imagination and foster creativity as a family, coinciding with the temporary exhibition "Martín Chirino. Homage to Marinetti. Speed in the Infinitive."

In this edition, we will take as our starting point the force of the wind in the sculptures and drawings of Martín Chirino, and the visual universe of Filippo Tommaso Marinetti's poems, which will serve as a foundation for the workshop. Through the observation of his works, we will explore a way of understanding poetry and drawing where movement, form, and expressiveness permeate everything.

We will learn about Marinetti's poetic theory, which our sculptor used to introduce the concept of speed into his sculptures, and we will delve into the way Martín Chirino drew on paper to represent the speed of the wind in his spirals. Inspired by them, we will transform drawing into a game.

The Words to the Wind workshops are designed to offer a shared experience where experimentation and fun take center stage. It's a unique opportunity for adults and children to work together, expressing themselves freely and discovering new ways of seeing and writing about the world through art.

Workshop Development and Procedure

At the beginning of the activity, we'll take a guided tour of our galleries to observe the works of Martín Chirino, paying special attention to his spirals, textures, and drawings, accompanied by the reading and viewing of Marinetti's poetic compositions.

After the tour, we'll move to the workshop to put our imaginations to work. Through experimentation with diverse techniques and materials that combine letters, sounds, and lines, families will create their own collaborative artworks.

We encourage all families and groups to participate in this workshop with a curious spirit, ready to get their hands dirty in a relaxed and stimulating environment.

For children ages 5 and up. To achieve the workshop's objectives, the participation of at least one accompanying adult is essential.
