European Museum Night

Since 2011, ICOM has sponsored the European Night of Museums, which is held every year on the Saturday before International Museum Day. This year, the European Night of Museums will take place on the night of May 13. Created in 2005 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, the European Night of Museums allows visitors to attend participating museums overnight and free of charge, thus delaying the closing time restriction. The Castillo de la Luz will remain open until the park closes, shortly before midnight. By receiving the public at night, the museums open a different visit to their collections, with a more sensory and unusual focus.
