Manolo Millares' Centenary

January 17, 2026, marked the centenary of Manolo Millares' birth. Given his close relationship with our founder, Martín Chirino, and their long-standing friendship and mutual admiration, the Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation intends to display a small exhibition throughout the centenary year as a tribute to the artist. On March 12th, we will celebrate a grand day of tribute, with the opening of an exhibition of his work at the Castillo de la Luz, a lecture by expert Alfonso de la Torre, and the screening of an experimental documentary made by Manolo Millares and Elvireta Escobio in 1970.
