The Martín Chirino Foundation organizes the "Botanical drawing course. Technique: pencil and ink", taught by Marta Chirino, from May 2 to 5.
In this course you will learn to observe nature through the drawing of leaves, fruits and branches. Through scientific illustration you will describe the structures of plants in a graphic way. Carrying out successive exercises you will learn the rudiments of botanical drawing in a fluid and simple way.

Marta Chirino Argenta has a degree in Sciences Biological by the Autonomous University of Madrid. She is a botanical artist member of The Society of Botanical Artists (SBA), having been awarded the gold medal by The Royal Horticultural Society (United Kingdom). He has also received the SBA's Margaret Stevens Award and the Certificate of Botanical Merit for his scientific illustrations. Between 1987 and 2020, she has collaborated as a scientific illustrator in informative research projects for the Real Jardín Botánico-CSIC (Madrid) and other official organizations, thus appearing her drawings in numerous books and magazines.
