Next October 15, at 8:30 p.m. Within the Naval Festival program, the Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation organizes the concert “RESONANCIAS. “Jazz for the work of Martín Chirino.” A multidisciplinary project in which the musician Takeo Takahashi composes and performs jazz musical works inspired by the artistic legacy of Martín Chirino, carrying out an artistic dialogue between forms, spaces, times, structures, harmonies and textures. The musicians who will accompany this project are the pianist Sergi Sirvent and the double bassist David Mengual, two of the most renowned performers on the national scene, with an impeccable career as creators of the avant-garde of jazz.

The conscious composition contrasts with the interpretive perspective of a contemporary jazz trio, in a musical space where improvisation introduces contributions from the spontaneous, thus invoking the free spirit of art.
To do this, a selection of some of the artist's most representative sculptures is made, from which the musician proposes an exploration of the expressive and technical parameters that define languages, to discover emotional analogies, and invite the spirit of Chirino to resonate again.
