Chronicle of the 20th century, La Florentina is now part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias. The work reaches the Asturian institution through an agreement signed with the Legacy of Martín Chirino through which the sculpture is deposited for a minimum of five years. La Florentina is one of the last pieces by Martín Chirino, from 2018, and was part of his last exhibition at the Marlborough Gallery entitled 'Martín Chirino in his Finisterre'. The work will be exhibited in room 26 of the Ampliación Building, together with other artists from the El Paso group such as Manolo Millares, Antonio Suárez, Manuel Rivera and Rafael Canogar, thus completing that gap in the permanent exhibition.
